A motorist suffered a broken neck in a horrific car crash.
He was hurt when his car flipped and ploughed into a car tyres centre at Deighton. The 24-year-old local man had to be cut from his wrecked vehicle by fire crews.
He had crashed his blue Alfa Romeo on the A62 Leeds Road near the junction with Deighton Road shortly before 3am on Saturday.
It is believed the car left the road, hit an advertising board and rolled onto its roof before crashing into the shutters at Allcar Tyres and Exhausts.
